Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Tim Lincecum pitched solidly into the seventh inning and the San Francisco Giants used three home runs to defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-3, at Chase Field.
Lincecum (13-9) allowed three runs on five hits with 11 strikeouts for the Giants, who have captured the first two of this three-game series and moved within one-half game of the Padres for the lead in the tight NL West race.
The Padres are currently playing the Dodgers.
Pat Burrell and Aubrey Huff both hit a two-run homer while Freddy Sanchez added a solo blast in the victory.
Chris Young homered for the Diamondbacks, who have dropped four straight.
