Down By The Bay: Rolling Along

Good morning, Bay Area sports fans. We had another active day of sporting news, games and the like. The A's and Giants both had good games played, while the 49ers continued to make some roster moves and stir the pot with a signing or two. Let's just get right to it.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

The Giants won yesterday, and it was an entertaining game. It was a terrifying game, but entertaining nonetheless. McCovey Chronicles has some sort of ironic postgame thread and recap up for your perusal. They also have the minor lines posted for yesterday, which is something you should always read up on.

The A's grabbed a win yesterday as well. I didn't get a chance to watch it so my commentary is limited. Athletics Nation has a postgame thread and recap.

The Niners cut third string quarterback Nate Davis yesterday to make room for the signing of free agent quarterback Troy Smith. I feel good about the moves overall, because it seems to be an upgrade, I think.

Not much going on with the Raiders yesterday, but Silver And Black Pride did take a look at some of the questionable roster moves and attempted to add some clarity.
