Down By The Bay: To Reiterate, I Hate Roster Cuts

Roster cuts continued for the NFL as the Raiders made the cut to their 53-man roster while the 49ers relaxed and watched the rest of the league release theirs. On the baseball front, the Giants and A's had good games yesterday as well. Let's get right to it.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Well, aside from the admittedly hilarious fake back-and-forth between the Giants, Padres and Rockies, there wasn't a whole lot of substance to the postgame thread from McCovey Chronicles. Still, I pretty much agree with the sentiments expressed in their recap, regardless of substance, or lack thereof.

The A's continued their dominance of the Angels. Actually, it wasn't entirely dominating. Trevor Cahill gave us viewers a whole lot of stress during the game but he ended up getting a great win when you look at it. Athletics Nation has a postgame thread and recap for you to voice your happiness within.

Niners Nation had a post with the official 53-man roster as per the 49ers. They also had an analysis of the roster as a whole and each position. Still unsure about some of the cuts, but when I look at that roster, I get pretty confident. Beyond that, they took a look at the eight-man practice squad and who could be signed to it.

The Raiders went through their official roster cuts, but as Silver And Black Pride notes, they ended the day by cutting a player whom the fanbase was pretty high on.
