Down By The Bay: Roster Cuts Are Not Fun

It's a bad time for me when it comes to sports. NFL roster cuts are currently ongoing, and in fact, the 49ers already completed their's early. It's not a bad time because players I like don't make it or I'm unhappy with who is left on the final rosters, but I just hate a time where a few hundred people lose their jobs and are suddenly in doubt. We did have some baseball yesterday, though, which is a plus.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Well, it was another one of those (now frequent) disappointing games for the San Francisco Giants. I have to wonder some time if this team even wants to win. Regardless, McCovey Chronicles has a postgame thread.

It was the opposite for the A's, who dominated their divisional rival Angels to the tune of 8-0. Athletics Nation has a postgame thread and recap.

Niners Nation had a post covering the 53-man roster cuts. There were a few surprising moves but overall the team looks good. On top of that, Niners Nation had a post explaining the waiver wire.

Cal: Can you feel it? College football is back, here's an open thread from California Golden Blogs.
