We had some more exciting action yesterday as far as baseball goes, as well as some news regarding the football teams and the like. Pretty excited for the Giants right now, but I'll hold that until later. Let's just get on to your links for the morning.
After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.
The Giants picked up a huge win yesterday, and are two games ahead of the Padres for the NL West lead. Also, Brian Wilson is a man. A manly man. Perhaps the manliest man among manly men. Plus, Juan Uribe is awesome. Anyway, McCovey Chronicles has a postgame thread and recap.
The A's stranded a ton of batters and failed to win late, as has been the case lately. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, but they definitely want to finish out better than they have been lately. Athletics Nation has a postgame thread and recap for your perusal. They will just try and get better to end the season.
Despite some recent rumblings, it appears that linebacker Takeo Spikes will be the starter on Sunday, and Niners Nation has a post on that. They also covered the fact that the 49ers didn't make a waiver claim for QB Trent Edwards, which I'm thankful for. Lastly, NN had a post about the 49ers defensive struggles against the screen pass.
