De La Salle Tied For Second Among NFL Alumni

While the Bay Area has a whole host of professional sports, one of its most dominant teams is high school football power De La Salle out in Concord. The NFL recently put together a rundown of high schools that have produced NFL players and De La Salle tied for second with five current NFL players. The state of California finished first for total players in the NFL with 211.

The Spartans take on Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas) this weekend looking to improve to 3-0. The Spartans defeated Junipero Serra 45-7 and St. Mary's-Stockton 40-14 in their first two games of the season. They are currently ranked ninth in USA Today's High School Football rankings.
