St. Louis Rams at Oakland Raiders: A Battle For 500

The Oakland Raiders return from the hostile environs and disappointing outcome of Tennessee for their home opener against the St. Louis Rams (0-1).

After the lackluster opener, the Raiders are determined to prove that all the talk of improvement was more than just talk. Newly acquired QB Jason Campbell struggled as he had little or no time to throw while operating behind an over-matched offensive line. The Raiders will hope to get their passing game going against a less intimidating Rams defense.

The Rams are hoping to even their record after blowing a 4th quarter lead en route to a loss against their division rivals, the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams plan on starting the number one overall pick, Sam Bradford, at QB. Bradford had a busy debut going 32/55 with one touchdown and three INT's.

The Rams will hope their running game can take some of the work load off of Bradford, as they test an Oakland Raider run defense that has ranked at or near the bottom of the league for years. Last week, Jackson gained 81 yards on 22 carries--while the Raiders allowed 142 yards on 27 carries to reigning NFL Rushing Champion Chris Johnson.

Game time: 1:05 PM (PDT) Sunday, September 19th
