Down By The Way: Don't Taste Football..

Football is so close we can almost taste it. Well, I'm not sure exactly how it would taste if you could place one on the entire sport of football. I actually think it would be pretty awful. I just made myself sick, in fact. Oh well, let's get on with it.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Giants: The Giants opened a four-game series against the Braves yesterday, and it could have turned out better. Lincecum had a shaky start and the run support just wasn't there. McCovey Chronicles has a post-game thread up. They also have the minor lines, which you should check out.

Sharks: Not a whole lot going on in San Jose, but Fear The Fin did have a post with what is indeed an interesting question. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the question yet, either. I know it's interesting, but I'm not entirely sure how I'd answer it.

49ers: The team had their backup TED linebacker and upcoming special teams ace Scott McKillop go down for the season with an ACL injury, which is never a good thing to here. Niners Nation had a post about it and what it meant, and they also had an open thread for the goings-on of training camp.

Raiders: Silver And Black Pride has another post referencing injuries. Seems like all I read over there anymore! Never like to hear such things.

Cal: In the Golden Nuggets yesterday, California Golden Blogs notes some quotes from Jeff Tedford about loosening up - yeah OK. Beyond that, they also continue ranking the Best Non-Big Games of the Decade, with number five.
