Down By The Bay: Disappointing Losses

Good morning, Bay Area. The sports world continues to roll along and I've got links for you from most of our blogs. We had baseball games, we had football practices and things of that nature. So ...

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump ... jump.

The Giants played a pretty good game. They played a great game and in the eighth, Jonathan Sanchez pitched well. But he was pulled in the ninth and then they gave up the lead, lost the game and McCovey Chronicles has a postgame thread and recap type thing for you to read and take part in.

The A's played the Yankees yesterday, so can you imagine how that went down? Cahill had a bad game and the team was dominated. There isn't much more to it than that, but if you feel like reading up on it, Athletics Nation has a postgame thread and recap for your ... pleasure, I guess it is?

Roster cuts are on-going in the NFL, and in light of that, Niners Nation took a look at which players might not make it past waivers when the 49ers attempt to put them on the practice squad. Beyond that, they had a transcript from head coach Mike Singletary and what it will take to make the 53-man roster for some of the fringe players.

The NBA offseason rolls on, and Golden State of Mind kept the ball rolling with some more questions for the upcoming season.

Cal: California Golden Blogs continued looking at the old wounds of the 2009 Cal @ Oregon game with part three of the series. They also had a post on SB Nation's Pac-10 Preseason predictions and the like.
