2010 NFL Roster Cuts: 49ers Waive Three Players

The San Francisco 49ers took care of some housekeeping matters by cutting down their roster to the NFL’s 75-man limit. The league requires teams cut down to 75 players by Tuesday afternoon, with a second cut down to 53 players by Saturday.

The 49ers reached the 75-man limit by waiving CB Patrick Stoudamire and WR Bakari Grant, and utilizing the waived/injured transaction for LB Brandon Long. By using waived/injured, the 49ers can place Long on their injured reserve list (if they so choose) if he clears waivers.
