The battle of the bay takes place tonight. The 49ers travel a short distance to Oakland and I can't wait, personally. Baseball is great and all, but this is what I love to see every year. The 49ers play the Raiders, so you can bet that's what I'll be fixated on. As far as what I've got for you today - there's plenty, so enjoy.
After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.
It's not an entirely comprehensive postgame thread, or even a partially comprehensive postgame thread, but if you want to talk about the game that went down yesterday (which was indeed a horrifically dull and disappointing affair) you can go over to McCovey Chronicles and partake in such a thread.
The A's pitching and all-around playing as well as they were had to come to an end sometime, and I think many knew that it would be against the Rangers that it would happen. Still, it wasn't a terrible game to watch and was a little closer than it seemed. Athletics Nation has you covered with a post-game thread and recap.
Niners Nation took a look at the 49ers defense and how the individual players that make it up appear to be finally reaching their potential after being pegged as a "breakout" unit for years. They came on strong last year and are looking to come on stronger this year. They also broke down the offensive line and defensive line play from the Vikings game.
Silver And Black Pride is hoping for another multiple sack performance from the Raiders today. It's certainly possible, with that defensive line being on fire and the 49ers offensive line sporting two rookies and a player filling in for an injured starter.
They also had a post about ten things they're looking for in today's game against the Niners.
