Down By The Bay: Crushing Loss

Bay Area sports is kickin'. Well, it's not exactly kicking - but more and more football approaches, including a matchup between - dun dun dun - the 49ers and the Raiders. It should be interesting, and we'll have all the coverage you'll need - from both sides of the story. Enjoy.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

The Giants lost their game yesterday. It was a pretty crushing loss, to be honest. They were being destroyed, then brought it back, got the lead - lost it, then lost in extra innings. McCovey Chronicles has a postgame thread.

The A's, though, they played like a team who knew what was up. They won their game, again in dominating fashion with solid offense early on and great pitching throughout. Athletics Nation has a postgame thread for that.

How about a look at an interesting matchup for the upcoming game? Niners Nation had a post about the matchup between the Oakland defensive line and the San Francisco offensive line. Beyond that, they also had their weekly prospector's guide for the upcoming game, which is always awesome.

Silver and Black Pride had their nightly post, this one focusing on rookie offensive lineman Jared Veldheer and other notes for the day for the Raiders.

The Sharks didn't get Willie Mitchell. Cue the violin music. Fear The Fin had a post on it. Sorry for being short, but it sucks.

Warriors news has been scarce this offseason. There hasn't been much to talk about and not a whole lot to go on. The team was sold, but beyond that it's all died died. Golden State Of Mind opens the discussion on point guards and the upcoming season to fill the void of no news.
