Good morning everyone. The 49ers are geared up to play the Colts today, and that's all that's on my mind. Occasionally a rogue thought like "sleep" or "eat" or "acknowledge another human being in front of you telling you that the building is presently on fire", but I zone 'em out right quick because all that matters right now is sports. On top of that game, the A's and the Giants each had games yesterday, and we've got a bit about the Warriors as well.
After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.
I think the Giants don't know how to win a game that isn't close. If it's going to be won by one run, it has to be done in extra innings. If it has to be lost in one run, they have to tie it mid-game and then lose it in the 9th. Thankfully, yesterday was a win for the team, and in extra innings, as usual. McCovey Chronicles has a post-game thread and a huge sigh of relief.
The A's couldn't get anything done. Just nothing at all, it wasn't a good game. It wasn't fun to watch. There was no offense and hardly anything good going on for the A's. Still, baseball is baseball, and I watched a portion of it myself. Athletics Nation has a post-game thread up for your perusal.
On top of that, they had a post looking at the future of this current A's team - what's coming up and what can (or can't) be expected.
Niners Nation took a look at the offensive battles to look out for in today's game against the Colts. I'm particularly interested in the fullback and wide receiver battles. I suppose I have to also be interested in how rookie running back Anthony Dixon does now that Coffee is retired.
On top of that, Fooch is the voice of reason and let's folks know ahead of time: it's only the preseason. Put down the gun, pills, razor, rope or gas-station tuna sandwich. It's not worth it.
I previewed today's game here on SBN Bay Area - so go check that out if you missed it on the front page.
Sometimes I forget that we have an NBA franchise, but not for lack of loving the team or thinking they're irrelevant - there's just no news lately. Nothing at all. Well, there is a bit - the signing of Jannero Pargo is hardly a done deal, and Golden State of Mind has a fanshot on the matter.
