Down By The Bay: Put Down The Punch

Well we had reversed roles today (at least when taking recent trends into consideration) with the Giants and the Athletics as the Giants took a big win and the A's took a loss that's sure to be hard to stomach. Got some cap talk over at Fear The Win, and the 49ers and Cal blogs are keeping busy.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Giants: The suicide pact is broken, Giants fans no longer need to drink the plastic cup with the 'special' punch within. It was an offensive battle that nobody really saw coming. The game ended 11-8 and was a great watch for the moments I was able to tune in. Everyone can take a collective deep breath and laugh at Grant over at McCovey Chronicles in the post-game thread.

A's: It was a different story for the A's, as their winning streak was cut to an end. You can participate in the discussion in the post-game thread and recap over at Athletics Nation.

Sharks: Quiet on the free agency and trade front aside from singing Antero Nittymaki, Fear the Fin is relatively quiet. The biggest thing going on is talk about the Sharks' reduced cap due to going over on bonuses.

49ers: The big thing at Niners Nation was Fooch (our editor here at SB Nation Bay Area) venting some anger on some recent comments made by Ex-NFL Scout Dave Razzano. The comments were made on Alex Smith, and I think everyone is in agreement that he is an idiot. Razzano, not Fooch. I had a post about it here as well.

Cal: No real news obviously, but that's the beauty of a blog, keeping discussion going on regardless. Go and vote on the latest hall of fame match over at California Golden Blogs.
