Down By The Bay: A Tie? Well, Better Than Expected

Well good morning. I'm going to be fitting in Earthquakes news (as reported by us here at SB Nation Bay Area) every morning if we have any. We're just now breaking in our shoes here at SB Nation Bay Area and I just wanted to let you all know that the coverage of your favorite teams will only get better each and every day. Any suggestions are always welcome, too.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Giants: The Giants win again, getting a shutout of the Diamondbacks. Matt Cain looked really good, what more could you ask for? Aside from Sandoval not doing much, there's a lot of room for optimism. McCovey Chronicles has their post-game thread right here.

Earthquakes: Yesterday, the San Jose Earthquakes squared off with the LA Galaxy and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed. I couldn't view the whole game, but I was clicking through our live blog when I couldn't watch. It was likely a missed opportunity, but they still did better than anyone thought they would, no?

Cal: California Golden Blogs can always be counted on for daily Golden Bears reading, and they have the Golden Nuggets, as well as continuing the Best Non-Big Game of the 2000s series with a look at number six.

49ers: Training camp is getting near and everyone is practically salivating. Over at Niners Nation, they took a look at some keys to the teams' success in 2010.
