Surfing The Bay: Thursday, July 15th, 2010

Get off the computer and get in front of your TV (or if you don't actually have to get up, turn your head... and if you don't even have to turn you're head... well you're too lazy for your own good) because here's what's on the tube for you tonight. All times are pacific.

Chronicle Live | 5:00 PM | CSN Bay Area - I'm not entirely sure if this episode and the one at 6:00 PM are the same thing - but one of them is the new episode, and I'm banking on this one. Tonight's list of guests include legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice, Jeremy Roenick, former Sharks center Jon Miller, Ted Robinson, Marshall Faulk, Damon Bruce and Marshall Faulk, former NFL player. On top of that, Ray Ratto, CSN Bay Area's newest columnist will be on the show.

MLS Soccer: Seattle @ D.C. | 5:00 PM | ESPN2 - It's not the San Jose Earthquakes, but soccer is soccer, you get me? ESPN is carrying that match so it's one you should watch. I know I will be.

Mets @ Giants | 7:00 PM | CSN Bay Area - The Giants are finally at home after an 11-game road skid and you should be watching it. There's no excuse. Giants fan? Tune in. Immediately preceded by Giants Pregame Live and followed by Giants Postgame Live on the same channel.

Baseball Tonght | 9:00 PM | ESPN - Hopefully you're watching the Giants at this point, and hopefully it's a good game. If it's not, you can tune into this on ESPN and see who else failed miserably today in baseball.

British Open: Second-round Play | 1:00 AM | ESPN - If you're like me and have obligations to a certain blog and website in the early hours of the morning, you can catch ESPN's live coverage of the British Open. Or if you just like the sport. Or if you just are an insomniac. Still, it's on - so watch it.

Random Thought: Why does my TV guide list "TNA Impact" when I filter to show only sports? I mean, I can understand (barely) why people enjoy sports entertainment such as TNA and WWE these days but really? There's no actual competition... I is confuzzled.

Other stuff you might like because I said so...

Who Framed Roger Rabbit? | 5:00 PM | MoreMax West - It's an awesome movie, you dig? I loved it years ago. I may watch it myself.

Futurama | 10:00 PM | Comedy Central - Basically my favorite animated show, and the new episodes have been from "decent" to "good", so yeah. Watch that. Now.
