Down By The Bay: Just A Little Crazy

New, 2 comments

No sports yesterday. I almost didn't make it. Luckily, I hadn't slept the night before so I spent the majority of yesterday in a bubbly euphoria, cackling about the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything. Still, the Bay Area team blogs kept active which is always a good thing, and a pleasant deterrent from slight dementia.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Giants: The biggest bright spot for the Giants right now is the emergence of Buster Posey. I'll admit, I've already bowed down and submitted to my Posey overlord and will be sending dividends of my sacrifice to his lair soon. McCovey Chronicles takes a look at Posey, the fans of the Giants who wanted him to start, and the madness of the rest of the media.

Warriors: The Warriors are in owner-limbo right now. Golden State of Mind actually had an open thread up for the situation - hoping that the team would be sold so they can get on with things. They had a small fanshot too, about the team's sale being put slightly on hold and stating that the team would sell for a record price.

Sharks: As the weeks go on, one has to wonder exactly what the Sharks are planning. They need to get to some signings or trades and it needs to happen quickly. Fear The Fin talks about why Willie Mitchell could be a good pickup for the team.

49ers: Niners Nation continued polling its users on confidence level, taking a look at cornerback Shawntae Spencer. They also took a look at some football outsiders stats. The first was from the Football Outsiders Almanac, predicting the 49ers record and the like. I see some serious flaws in them, myself. The second was organizational rankings based on age and things of that nature.
