Down By The Bay: Now How About Some Real Baseball?

Good morning, all. Not a lot went down in sports, again - except for the All-Star game, which I stupidly missed (as well as missing a post here, I apologize for that). I heard it was a good game, but maybe I heard wrong. We've got some posts from a couple of our Bay Area blogs, but again - not a whole lot.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Giants: Grant of McCovey Chronicles says that the Giants are looking to add players on the cheap at SB Nation's MLB hub. A good piece, though I'm one of those who think Pablo Sandoval isn't the "big bat" that the team needs. I'd like to see them get someone in that regard, if possible.

A's: The All-Star Game was yesterday, so nothing as far as a game thread or recap or anything like that, but Athletics Nation did have a post on the top 10 players in Oakland A's history, as ranked by their Wins After Replacement stat. Not a bad read by any means for the baseball-starved fan.

49ers: Niners Nation talked a bit about sports bars for watching the 49ers. I got nothing around where I live in that regard. Sadness. Beyond that, they had a post about TE Nate Byham officially signing with the Niners (still has a lot of work to do to make the roster). I had a post here on SB Nation Bay Area on the 49ers pass rushers and you can find that here.

Cal: Over at California Golden Blogs you can find a piece about the greatest Cal linebacker of the 2000s and vote on that.
