The San Francisco 49ers just sent out a note to the media about Head Coach Mike Singletary and Tight End Vernon Davis’ travel to London this week.
↵↵↵In anticipation of the 49ers upcoming game in London against the Denver Broncos on October 31, 2010, 49ers Head Coach Mike Singletary and Tight End Vernon Davis will be traveling overseas this week. Davis will be conducting a media tour this Wednesday and Thursday, while Singletary will be meeting with various press affiliations on Sunday and Monday.

This is the first time that any Bay Area team will travel across the pond for an NFL game. The 49ers played in Mexico several years back, but going to another continent is very unique.
↵The NFL has been promoting the game of football in London over the past few seasons and I think Singletary and Davis are the perfect ambassadors to represent the 49ers.
