Down By The Bay: No Baseball? What Will We Do?!

New, 1 comment

Good morning folks. We didn't have any baseball yesterday, so I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off who doesn't know what to blog about on the Bay Area sports-based website that he provides content for. The most we have as far as actual news go is depressing bits from the Golden State Warriors front - and that sucks. It really sucks.

After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.

Giants: As mentioned, no baseball yesterday, which totally sucks. The baseball news has been driving these posts. Still, McCovey Chronicles had their minor lines as usual, always good to check-up on. They also had a first-half review of their season, since it's the All-Star break. Good read, a good summary. And Buster Posey is a dreamy fella.

A's: The front page is full of a bunch of lazy bloggers so they went ahead and promoted a fanpost to the front over at Athletics Nation. OK, so they're not lazy, and this was actually a very good breakdown and should be read. Immediately.

Warriors: The tumultuous off-season continues, as it's now clear that the Warriors won't be bringing Anthony Morrow back. Be right back, drinking bleach. .... All right, I'm back. I'll try and type this before I start to lose consciousness. Golden State Of Mind has a fanshot on the issue and a fanshot on some quotes from Morrow.

Sharks: In a veritable ****block of a move, the Blackhawks decided they would match the offer made on Hjalmarsson. Fear The Fin examines what that means for San Jose. I'll tell you what it means, it means they still suck on defense and need another player right about ... now.

49ers: They continued roster projections over at Niners Nation, looking at.. get this.. the kicker and punter. They also had a post examining who was the best player to play with each number - settling yesterday on 12-14.

Raiders: The Raiders are pretty efficient with their draft pick signings thus far, and have not got Walter McFadden inked, as reported in this fanshot over at Silver and Black Pride. Beyond that, they also had FanShots for an interview with Michael Huff and one for Jay Richardson.

Cal: No more of the delightful selling out for the folks out California Golden Blogs as they top off the "Where I Come From" posts with a look at the upcoming season. Ending the bits looking at the past with a look to the future? It's almost poetic, I tell you.
