Morning, morning, Down By The Bay is brought to you by... uhhh, well it's brought to you by me. I don't know why I began typing with the intention of fufilling a sponsor but I did it. You'll live with it, I've already moved on (and in fact forgot the previous sentence anyway). We had some baseball games, and not much else beyond that, but our team blogs have been keeping busy so read on.
After the jump is all you need to know when it comes to the A's, Giants, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks and all of Bay Area sports is laid in front of you by myself, as per our team specific blogs. So jump when I say jump... jump.
Giants: Well - McCovey Chronicles has a post-game thread if you're a sucker for pain and suffering. If you aren't, perhaps you could join the thread regardless and try and cheer some folks up. They've also got some notes and theories as to why the Giants get outs so much. Somebody please for the love of God save the guinea pigs.
A's: It was a good day for the A's as they played some good, solid baseball yesterday. Athletics Nation has a recap and post-game thread. It was a good game, and in case you didn't know, I'm a Giants fan, but I did enjoy this game thoroughly. Just when the Orioles looked like they were going to start mounting a comeback, they were put down in the back.
Cal: Obviously not much on this front, but California Golden Blogs is keeping busy with some recruiting profiles, going with Nick Forbes yesterday.
Sharks: They've got no new front page coverage over at Fear The Fin right now, but there are a few fanposts worth mentioning. One person clears up the rules for restricted free agency and how they pertain to Devin Setoguchi, a player many fans (incluidng myself) want back in the teal next season. And they've got something really, really cool, a gift for Evgeni Nabokov from the fans.
49ers: Is the upcoming season the most important season for the 49ers in recent memory? Niners Nation brings up the subject, and I'm inclined to say: yes, yes it most definitely is. Things are in place and the fans didn't take well to losses last season, they won't be tolerated this season. Also, some devilishly handsome writer over there examined what the potential effect Scot McCloughan can have on the 49ers in his new position with the Seattle Seahawks. Conclusion? Absolutely nothing right now.
Raiders: Silver and Black Pride has a rousing post on the Raider Nation - it gets a bit offensive at times but that's to be expected over there, and that's not an insult. The Raider Nation is not for the faint of heart, they operate with a sort of brutal inefficiency that somehow manages to be effective. It's weird. Also, they examine the fine art of tailgating, an art which I hope to perfect come next season.
