Over the weekend, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that San Francisco 49ers were looking for a rent decrease of Candlestick Park.↵
The Niners recently filed a formal claim with the city, a precursor to a possible lawsuit, saying they have lost revenues because the city hasn’t maintained the stadium as required in the lease signed back in 1969 and amended over the years.↵
It is reported that damages have exceeded over $25,000. This is the second time since 2007 that the team has requested repairs in maintenance.↵
The stadium is in very bad shape and for one of the most storied franchises in the league, it’s pretty pathetic that they can’t even play in a decent stadium.↵
If this isn’t any more proof that the 49ers are on their way out of San Francisco, then I don’t know what is.
