49ers Want To Cut Rent At Candlestick Due To Damages

Over the weekend, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that San Francisco 49ers were looking for a rent decrease of Candlestick Park.

The Niners recently filed a formal claim with the city, a precursor to a possible lawsuit, saying they have lost revenues because the city hasn’t maintained the stadium as required in the lease signed back in 1969 and amended over the years.

It is reported that damages have exceeded over $25,000. This is the second time since 2007 that the team has requested repairs in maintenance.

The stadium is in very bad shape and for one of the most storied franchises in the league, it’s pretty pathetic that they can’t even play in a decent stadium.

If this isn’t any more proof that the 49ers are on their way out of San Francisco, then I don’t know what is.
