The 2010-2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, formerly known as the Emerald Bowl, will take place on January 9, 2011 at San Francisco's AT&T Park. This year's version will feature the ACC's Boston College Eagles taking on the WAC's Nevada Wolfpack. Nevada's season was highlighted by their upset victory of Boise State that knocked the Broncos out of BCS bowl consideration and helped propel the Stanford Cardinal into a BCS bowl game. Boston College's season was highlighted by a five game win streak to close the season and get them to 7-5. Nevada has opened the game as a 9 1/2 point favorite over BC and folks are expecting a bit of a shootout with an over/under of 55 points. It's not quite the 74 points in the Oregon-Auburn national title game, but it should make for a fun game.
↵If you're looking to go to the game, plenty of tickets are still available HERE, and you can get some decent seats for a fairly reasonable price. Nevada runs the always entertaining pistol offense and might be worth a look if you have the time. And moving this bowl after New Year's Eve could help with ticket sales.
