NFL Injury Update, Colts-Raiders: Seymour Misses Practice-Collie Placed on IR

Richard Seymour and Austin Collie both may have seen their season’s come to an end due to injuries. Collie already has been placed on the IR, meaning his season is officially over. There is still hope for Seymour.

Seymour strained his hamstring in the Raiders’ Week 15 win over the Denver Broncos. The injury caused him to miss the majority of the second half and has now caused him to miss the first practice of this week. Coach Tom Cable is not optimistic about Seymour’s availability this week, but noted, “it’s still early.”

Seymour has already missed the team’s week 2 contest with an earlier strained hamstring. He was able to return the following week, but was clearly not yet himself. John Henderson will likely take his role in the starting lineup in Seymour is not ready to go.

Collie was placed on injured reserve after suffering his second concussion last week. For the Colts, it is the loss of yet another of Peyton Manning’s weapons. Collie has caught 58 passes for 649 yards on the season. Collie joins fellow Colts’ pass catchers Dallas Clark and Anthony Gonzalez on the crowded Colts IR.
