Down By The Bay: Feels Good To Be Wrong

Down by the Bay is a daily catch-up of Bay Area sports action from the previous day. It's here on SB Nation Bay Area every morning at the same time, and it's the first thing you should be reading to catch up on the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants, Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors. After the jump is all you need to know, so make it and let's get to it. When I say jump, jump. So, uh, jump, right now.

Grant over at McCovey Chronicles takes a fond look back at all the negativity and how wrong they were. It's never felt this good to be wrong, has it? I don't think it has in the history of pro sports, unless like, an unGodly amount of people doubted players like Michael Jordon or something, then that might have been better. But not really, because the Giants won the World Series, didn't you hear?

Niners Nation considered the prospect of bringing in Al Harris in after he was waived from the Packers. They then shook off the bye-week blues and began looking forward to this weekend's matchup with the St. Louis Rams. And finally, they had a post about quarterback Troy Smith taking all of the practice reps, be it a coach's decision or an injured Alex. Who knows?

It's all liquor and celebration over at Silver And Black Pride as they take another victorious look back at the win over the rival Chiefs. I like the NFL when the Raiders can have a rivalry with someone, it adds a bit to the excitement. Rivalries are few and far between these days. They then took a look at the officiating in the game, which was ... frankly, pretty awful.

Fear The Fin has a "Free Jumbo," photoshop expo, and they're always a treat to take part in, or just spectate. Free Jumbo indeed. And of course, they have their gameday thread for today in what "should," be a good game between them and the Ducks. Please, Sharks ... do your job and destroy those pathetic Ducks.

Golden State Of Mind had their postgame link-dump following the Warriors' victory over the Raptors. A ton of information to be absorbed here, go over and check those out and then, go ahead and check out their recap which came up a bit later.
