It's a battle of .500 teams in the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum on Sunday, when the (5-5) Miami Dolphins take on the (5-5) Oakland Raiders. Both teams are trying to bounce back after disappointing losses last. Losses that saw the two teams score a combined three points.
At 5-5 it will be a pivotal game for both team's playoff outlooks. The loss, combined with Kansas City's win, finds the Raiders a game out of first place. The Dolphins, who are three games behind to division rivals, have their sights set on the wild card. The Raiders and Dolphins are two of the four 5-5 teams chasing after the 6-4 Indianapolis Colts and 7-3 Pittsburgh Steelers for that final AFC Wild Card spot.
Miami's offense showed the effects of their massive injuries last week when they were shutout by the Chicago Bears and the injuries will be a concern again for them. Injuries to keep an eye on for the Dolphins as the week progresses will include QB Chad Henne, WR Brandon Marshall and C Joe Berger.
The Raiders appear to be getting healthier, but they were still without three key players--Nnamdi Asomugha, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Chaz Schillens--last week and they will be hoping to get them back. Last week they also lost Trevor Scott, who is likely out for the year.
