Down By The Bay: Well, How About That

Down by the Bay is a daily catch-up of Bay Area sports action from the previous day. It's here on SB Nation Bay Area every morning at the same time, and it's the first thing you should be reading to catch up on the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants, Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors. After the jump is all you need to know, so make it and let's get to it. When I say jump, jump. So, uh, jump, right now.

The San Francisco Giants won the World Series. Can you believe that? I still can't. I'm not going to lay down and sleep because I don't it to spur ... me waking up. That would be awful. Either way, McCovey Chronicles has a postgame thread with a link to three other postgame threads. Enjoy that one.

Good win for the 49ers over the Broncos. Niners Nation has a post regarding their performance in the game and grading it. They also took a look at Randy Moss's release and whether or not the 49ers could put a claim in on him. I'm thinking it's not likely, personally. On top of that, they had a post looking at the the pass-rushing linebackers for the team and where they stand.

Silver And Black Pride has a fantastic post about .500 football and general Raiders goings-on. I say fantastic because the 2002 angle that is worked is absolutely perfect and apt. Great lead in, applaud.

The Ducks coach is whining about the Sharks playing players they pay to play. Or something like that. I don't quite understand it because I have a "talking out of your behind," filter on and those things get by me. Fear The Fin has a post on it, though.

Tough loss for the Warriors, but what were we expecting? Curry would have been essential, and he was out. Without him, the Lakers just switched on the cruise control and walked away with it. Golden State Of Mind had their post-game linkage and then their postgame recap for your perusal.
