Sharks Forget How To Play Hockey After Two Periods, Bring Back Huff!: Down By The Bay

Down by the Bay is a daily catch-up of Bay Area sports action from the previous day. It's here on SB Nation Bay Area every morning at the same time, and it's the first thing you should be reading to catch up on the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants, Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors. After the jump is all you need to know, so make it and let's get to it. When I say jump, jump. So, uh, jump, right now.

Come on Sharks, act like you've been there before. Oh ... you did ... because you have, just two nights ago. The San Jose Sharks evidently felt as though two-goal leads are overrated, went head and dropped them so they could obviously win the game in overtime. Yeah ... I'm going to pretend that didn't happen. Fear The Fin has a recap, for some reason.

Let's get a win tonight, Warriors ... yeah? You guys down for that? I ask because the Sharks have blown some leads lately, and after your propensity for close games, I just wanted to make sure we're straight on this ... you DO want to win, right? Anyway, Golden State Of Mind has their gameday thread for your perusal, go check that out.

McCovey Chronicles is going ahead and predicting the free agent class and where they'll go. I'll be content with just Huff Daddy, thanks very much.

Athletics Nation is waiting for more action on the free agency front, so while they wait, they take a good look at Charlie Finley, who I am admittedly mostly ignorant about, so I'll be reading along with all of you.

Niners Nation had an injury report for Thursday's practices leading up to Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Their Tweet-Bag for the week went up, and it's a great post, so go check that out. Lastly, they had a post about Troy Smith and took an in-depth look at all of his passes, a great breakdown.
