Raiders Need Focus, Nedney Needs Rest: Down By The Bay

Down by the Bay is a daily catch-up of Bay Area sports action from the previous day. It's here on SB Nation Bay Area every morning at the same time, and it's the first thing you should be reading to catch up on the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants, Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors. After the jump is all you need to know, so make it and let's get to it. When I say jump, jump. So, uh, jump, right now.

McCovey Chronicles are greeted with their first question of the offseason. I'm not sure what I would do in regards to Pablo Sandoval, but I sure would love it if he, you know, returned to form and stuff. The Giants just seem like a much better team when Panda can play. Oh yeah, and the Giants won the World Series. Check it.

Athletics Nation considers the proposition of Adrian Beltre and getting him on the A's. Not much going on for the A's right now, can't wait for baseball getting going again, though. It seems so very far away. Can I start counting the days?

We'll begin with Niners Nation's prospector's guide for this Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That should be a good game, and another one of those "GPS game," things, you know the ones. They also had an injury update with Joe Nedney, and lastly had their Mike Singletary approval poll following the Rams win.

The biggest thing for Oakland right now is to stay focused. They are a talented football team, but a lack of discipline has always been the (very real) issue for them. Silver And Black Pride takes a look at that, and then after that, an early look at the showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Sharks just wrapped up a five game homestand in San Jose and now are heading to Denver to take on the Avalanche. Should be a good one, so be sure to tune in and watch it. Fear The Fin has their gameday post for you to take part in.

Golden State Of Mind attended the media luncheon with the new Warriors owners and they had a post on that, so go check that out. On top of that, they had their practice day links to read up on, so go read those.
