Down by the Bay is a daily catch-up of Bay Area sports action from the previous day. It's here on SB Nation Bay Area every morning at the same time, and it's the first thing you should be reading to catch up on the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants, Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors. After the jump is all you need to know, so make it and let's get to it. When I say jump, jump. So, uh, jump, right now.
The Giants won the 2010 World Series. I think I will begin these blog posts with that for the duration of this offseason, and perhaps throughout the season just because I can. Things are slowing down over at McCovey Chronicles, but yesterday they talked a bit about Andres Torres and the Golden Glove award. I'm completely in agreement with the thought that he deserves to win it.

Athletics Nation is flashing some SB Nation pull with an interview with A's owner Lew Wolff. It's a great interview, the right questions are asked and I detect very little question dodging, so head over there and check it out and be sure to stay tuned for part two.

Niners Nation took another look at recently released cornerback Al Harris and what he can do for the team. They examine whether or not the 49ers should sign him now that he's cleared waivers. My answer is still a resounding yes, he's been one of the better players at his position for a long time now. He's cheap, not a lot of years on the contract remaining, what's stopping them? Beyond that, they had a post about AccuScore rankings and predictions regarding Sunday's game against the Rams.

What a tough loss for San Jose yesterday. When the rivals come to town and walk away with a win, it's almost unbearable ... when they get the win off of a blown call, it's just completely unbelievable. Fear The Fin has a postgame thread and recap on the matter.

California Golden Blogs had a report card for the Cal-WSU game. Then they had their Golden Nuggets, which of course aren't nearly as awesome as mine on Niners Nation. Just saying. They continued their Women's basketball season preview and then took a look at the Oregon Ducks's defense.
