Down By The Bay: Get It Done!

Down by the Bay is a daily catch-up of Bay Area sports action from the previous day. It's here on SB Nation Bay Area every morning at the same time, and it's the first thing you should be reading to catch up on the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco Giants, Oakland A's, San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors. After the jump is all you need to know, so make it and let's get to it. When I say jump, jump. So, uh, jump, right now.

Well, if you missed it, McCovey Chronicles had a postgame thread for the loss to the Phillies in game five. Yesterday they had an off day, and had a thread for that accordingly. But today they play game six. It should be great. I hope it's great.

Good win for the Sharks a couple days ago, and today they'll look to build on it with another. Fear The Fin has their gameday thread on the game tonight against the Oilers.  I'm expecting good things from this game.

Niners Nation took a look at a lot of things that needed to be looked going into the game against the Carolina Panthers. Alex Smith, Frank Gore's workload and the ever-raging turnover battle are highlighted in the post. On top of that, they had the final injury report before the game.

Things have been quiet for the A's while the MLB Postseason rolls along. We have some pertinent news finally, though. Athletics Nation has a post regarding the situation with the A's and their medical staff. The team "parted ways," with the oft-criticized medical staff. Good riddance, yeah? At least some players feel that way.
