The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors continue to trend upward in the Western Conference. The Warriors moved a game over .500 at 3-2 after they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-96, and the Kings moved one game away from .500 at 2-3 after edging out the Detroit Pistons 105-103.

All five Pacific Division teams were in action on Wednesday night. The Los Angeles Lakers lose again, this time to the Utah Jazz 95-86. The Lakers fell to 1-4 on the season and are currently last place in their division.

The Phoenix Suns were victorious against the Charlotte Bobcats, winning 117-110. The Suns won to improve to 2-3 on the season, tied with the Kings for the third best record in the division. The Clippers blew out the Spurs 106-84, and are tied with the Warriors at the top of the West at 3-2 so far this season. The Spurs were the last team in the Western Conference to lose, falling to 4-1. They're tied with the Dallas Mavericks in overall record, with the Minnesota TImberwolves not too far behind.
