Gary A. Vasquez-US PRESSWIRE

Sure, we're only one week into the season, but the Warriors have looked pretty encouraging early on.

Although it may be early, the Golden State Warriors have looked like a brand new team in 2012 and are already in first in the Pacific with a 2-1 record.

The Los Angeles Clippers are 2-1 as well, but since Golden State defeated them 114-110 on the road Saturday, the Warriors technically have the division lead all to themselves.

The Warriors would have been the only team in their division to be victorious this weekend if the Los Angeles Lakers (1-3) didn't get a much-needed 108-79 win over the Detroit Pistons late Sunday evening.

The Sacramento Kings (0-3) almost had their first win of the season Saturday afternoon after forcing overtime with the Indiana Pacers but they were only able to score two points in the extra period and lost 106-98.

The Phoenix Suns (1-2) also lost their only game they played this weekend as they were embarrassed by the Orlando Magic, 115-94, on the road.

The Warriors take the court again Monday evening as they visit Sacremento looking to keep the Kings win-less on the season.
