Brandon Rush injury update: Forward will make an appearance at Oracle Wednesday

Jason O. Watson-US PRESSWIRE

The Golden State Warriors will get a visit at Oracle from their injured forward on Wednesday as they take on the Brooklyn Nets.

Brandon Rush will make his first appearance at Oracle Arena since injuring his ACL and MCL on Wednesday as the Golden State Warriors face the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night according to CSN Bay Area's Ric Bucher.

Rush injured his left knee in horrific fashion as the 6 ft. 6 swingman went up for a dunk against the Memphis Grizzlies on Nov. 2. He landed awkwardly after Zach Randolph fouled him in a move where he was going for the ball. Rush is no stranger to knee injuries of this magnitude. The fifth year pro tore his right ACL in a pickup game while starring at Kansas.

His injury came in the wake of similar knee injuries to notable NBA players Derrick Rose, Iman Shumpert and Ricky Rubio. Rush will miss the entire 2012-13 season and a fair portion of next year due to the long timetable for recovery that involves a torn ACL.
