Klay Thompson was forced to exit the Golden State Warriros' 106-98 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves following the third quarter with flu-like symptoms according to Rusty Simmons of the of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Prior to his exit and clearly suffering from the effects of the illness, Thompson played 28 minutes and scored 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting, going just 1-for-6 from the three-point line. In his absence, Jarret Jack saw increased action and poured in 13 points on 5-of-9 from the field.

Thompson is looking to build on a solid rookie campaign, and is averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in the 2012-13 season. He's one half of a dynamic back court duo that features Stephen Curry. Thompson has needed to step up in the absence of big man Andrew Bogut, who remains out as he recovers from ankle surgery.

The Warriors moved to 5-4 on the year and are now above .500 (3-2) on the road with the win in Minneapolis.
