In preparation for their season opener, the Warriors trimmed their roster on Wednesday morning, waiving a pair of guards and a pair of forwards.
With the 2012-13 NBA season less than a week away, the Golden State Warriors have pared their roster down the the 15-player maximum after waiving four players on Wednesday morning, according to a report from CSNBayArea.com.
Guards Carlon Brown and Tarence Kinsey were waived, as well as forwards Lance Goulbourne and Rick Jackson.
Brown, a 23-year-old point guard out of Colorado, and Goulbourne, a 6-foot-8 forward from Vanderbilt, did not appear in a preseason game for the Warriors.
Kinsey, who is a third-year shooting guard out South Carolina, has spent the past two seasons playing in Turkey. He spent a part of the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies and started three games of Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008-09.
Jackson, a power forward, missed all of Warriors camp with a sore right Achilles and was a long shot to make the team.
The Warriors open the regular season on Oct. 31 against the Phoenix Suns.
