At the rate they're going, Stanford is heading for a Sun Bowl appearance against the 5-4 N.C. State Wolfpack.
The Stanford Cardinal are currently projected to play in the Sun Bowl against N.C. State on Dec. 31 in El Paso, Tex., according to CBS Sports.
The Sun Bowl is reserved for the ACC's fourth best team to play the Pac-12's fourth best team, but with CBS projecting Oregon in the BCS National Championship game, Oregon State gets the Rose Bowl bid and every other team moves up a slot.
By looking at the rest of CBS Sports' bowl projections, it's clear that they believe USC will win the South, with UCLA coming in third overall in the conference. With that in mind, CBS Sports believes the Trojans are currently heading toward an Alamo Bowl bid while the Bruins will get the Holiday Bowl.
As for the rest of the conference, Washington is currently projected for the Las Vegas Bowl, Arizona for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl and Arizona State for the New Mexico Bowl.
