Stanford Vs. Colorado 2012: Game time, TV schedule, odds and more

Tony Medina

The Stanford Cardinal are back on the road this week, traveling to Colorado to face the Buffaloes.

At 4-1 in Pac-12 play, the Stanford Cardinal remain in the thick of the Pac-12 North race. Stanford controls its own destiny with upcoming games against Oregon State and Oregon, but before the Cardinal get there, they must travel to Colorado to face the Buffaloes.

Stanford is coming off a close 24-17 win against Washington State. A game in which Josh Nunes and the Stanford offense struggled to get much going. Nunes threw for just 136 yards with Stanford finishing with just 256 total yards on offense. The Cardinal defense racked up 10 sacks against WSU and will now face a struggling Colorado offense.

The Buffaloes have lost four straight games, including a 70-14 loss to Oregon last week. Colorado ranks near the bottom of the country in both points and points allowed. They are 117th in the country averaging 18.1 points per game and are 124th in the country allowing 46.0 points per game. If not for a 35-34 comeback win against Washington State, Colorado would be 0-8.

While Stanford is heavily favored against the Buffaloes, the Cardinal have to be sure to not overlook Colorado. Following this week's game, Stanford will play crucial Pac-12 games against No. 11 Oregon State and No. 4 Oregon. Saturday's game against Colorado could have the makings of a trap came if the Cardinal are already looking ahead to Oregon State.

Game time, TV channel: 2 p.m. ET, FX
