According to CollegeFootballNews.com, a part of FOX Sports' Scout.com, three Stanford Cardinals football player has been invited to participate in the NFL Combine held in Indianapolis, Indiana, which takes place from Feb. 22-28. Those players are tight end Coby Fleener, wide receiver Chris Owusu and safety Delano Howell.
Fleener caught 34 passes in 2011 for 667 yards and 10 touchdowns. Owusu caught 35 passes for 376 yards and two touchdowns through the team's first eight games before suffering a concussion in the Oregon State game where he was carted off the field in an ambulance. Howell had 51 tackles and four passes defensed in 2011 despite missing three games in the middle of the season.
The Combine will give Fleener, Owusu and Howell a chance to display their athleticism and any attributes they have that will set him apart from others that play the same position.
