Stanford Vs. Central Arkansas Recap: Team Effort Leads To Easy Win

The Stanford Cardinal got off to a solid start to 2011-12 as they dominated the Central Arkansas Bears 91-52. The Cardinal received a total team effort with five different players scoring in double digits and six different players dishing out assists. Four different players led the team with six rebounds. Aaron Bright led the way with 16 points and true freshman Chasson Randle added 15 points, six ebounds and four assists. The young freshman had a strong showing during their offseason international trip and looks to carry it over into his first season.

The Cardinal take a step up in competition Monday as they face Fresno State. They'll look to contain Kevin Olekaibe, who scored 18 points in Fresno State's opener against Illinois State. The Bulldogs won their opener 55-47. The game will be featured on ESPNU at 8:00pm pacific as ESPN rings in the 2011-12 college basketball season with a marathon of games to start the week.
