The latest college football BlogPoll Top 25 was released and the top four remained the same with LSU and Alabama divvying up the first place votes, followed by Oklahoma State and Stanford at third and fourth. Stanford find themselves locked in no higher than third on any ballot, while Oklahoma State received a pair of second place votes.
This Saturday could potentially provide some shake-up in the BlogPoll and the rest of the rankings when LSU and Alabama meet in Tuscaloosa. What will be interesting to see is how far the loser drops. If it is a close game with Alabama getting the home victory, does LSU really drop all that far in the polls? It could make for an intriguing controversy for the BCS. If Oklahoma State were to lose between now and the end of the regular season, it is not shocking to think LSU and Alabama could potentially meet in the national title game over an undefeated Stanford or Boise State.
In the rest of the poll, the biggest gainer of the week was Georgia Tech, courtesy of their win over previously undefeated Clemson. The biggest loser of the week was Kansas State following their beatdown at the hands of Oklahoma.
