The blogosphere put together their weekly college football Top 25 poll and this week's BlogPoll Top 25 sees the Stanford Cardinal receiving a little bit of love from the voters. Since losing to Oregon, Stanford has slowly worked its way back up the rankings and is quietly creeping close to the top ten. After spending a couple weeks at 14th in the poll, Stanford actually climbed up to eleventh. One of the perks to the BlogPoll is complete disclosure. As this page shows, Stanford received votes as high as 6 and as low 16.
While they may not get into the BCS title game or win the Pac-10, they still have a decent shot at working their way into one of the BCS at-large berths. Stanford has some tough games remaining, but there's a good chance the Cardinal will be favored in all of their remaining games. A home game with Arizona and a road game against arch-rival California would appear to be their toughest remaining games. The any given Saturday mantra certainly applies, so we'll see if Stanford can run the table.
