The blogosphere puts together a weekly college football Top 25 Poll to get a sense of where the fans think things stand in the world of the NCAA FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision - what used to be known as Division 1-A). There are numerous voters from SB Nation college blogs, as well as other websites around the Internet.
This week, Stanford actually dropped three positions after its last-second victory over USC. I suppose voters were punishing Stanford for such a close victory against an unranked team. Maybe not, but who knows.
Elsewhere the California Golden Bears are receiving votes this week. The BlogPoll is interesting in that it allows people to view how everybody voted and makes it easy to figure who voted what exactly. For the purposes of Cal, the information indicates they received five votes this week. The Purple Wimple, a TCU blog, voted them 19th. Anchor of Gold, a Vanderbilt blog, voted them 20th. Rocky Top Talk, a Tennessee blog, voted them 23rd. Black Heart Gold Pants, an Iowa blog, voted them 24th. Finally, Clone Chronicles, an Iowa State blog, voted them 25th.
