2012 Military Bowl: San Jose State vs. Bowling Green picks and predictions

US PRESSWIRE

The Spartans are getting a lot of love from experts as they prepare to meet Bowling Green in the 2012 Military Bowl.

Predictions vary across the Internet for Thursday's Military Bowl matchup between San Jose State and Bowling Green, but most experts are sticking with the 7.5-point favorite Spartans.

Five of six experts on CBS Sports' panel picked San Jose State (10-2) to handle Bowling Green (8-4) and earn their 11th victory, just one season after going 1-12. Only Bruce Feldman on the CBS panel picked the Falcons to win. Feldman and Chip Patterson were the only to pick the Falcons to cover the spread.

Joey Johnston at NBC Sports likes Bowling Green to pull of the upset and win, 24-20. It'll be a long trip to Washington and Bowling Green will provide a stiff contest with a stingy defense, Johnston predicts.

ESPN's WIll Harris picked San Jose State to win by 13 points. Our experts at SB Nation also picked San Jose State.

The 2012 Military Bowl kicks off Thursday at noon PT and will be televised by ESPN.
