San Jose Sharks Offseason: TJ Galiardi Re-Signs With San Jose

Stay connected for news and updates

T.J. Galiardi has re-signed with the San Jose Sharks, according to a tweet he posted Saturday afternoon.

Galiardi came to the Sharks midway through the 2011-2012 season, coming from the Colorado Avalanche with Daniel Winnik in exchange for Jamie McGinn and Sharks prospects. The forward did not produce much in his initial season with the Sharks, scoring only one goal in 14 games.

That said, the 24-year-old forward showed significant promise in his 2010-2011 rookie season. He's known for a tenacious, driven game and his own feelings about his disappointing follow-up to his rookie season only provide more motivation. The "#redemption" in his tweet is evidence of that; he knows he has something to prove, and Sharks fans certainly hope next year is the year he proves it.
