Rick Nash Rumors: Sharks Remain Stagnent In Trade Talks

Stay connected for news and updates

According to a report form CSN Bay Area's Kevin Kurz, the trade market between the San Jose Sharks and superstar Rick Nash has become stagnent, noting that the Sharks and Columbus Blue Jackets have not had any discussion in months.

Kurz continued that the Blue Jackets refuse to budge on the fact that any deal must include Logan Couture which is an absolute no-go for San jose. The Sharks are reportedly one of only a few NHL clubs to which the high-scoing left winger would be willing to go.

The 27-year-old had 30 goals and 29 assists during the 2011-12 campaign for a total of 59 points for the Blue Jackets. If traded, he would also bring a $7.8 million salary cap hit over the next six seasons, which could become troublesome down the line depending on the NHL's latest CBA negotiations.
