The San Jose Earthquakes are preparing for a deep run into the playoffs behind a now sold out crowd.

The San Jose Earthquakes' first-round home game is now sold out, the team announced on Monday. The game will most likely be played either on Nov. 7 or on Nov. 8.

The Quakes have clinched the top spot in the Western Conference and are two points away from securing the Supporters' Shield with two games left on the schedule.

Major League Soccer employed a slightly different playoff format this uses a two-game aggregate series. The lower seeded team hosts the first game and the higher seeded team hosts the second. The Earthquakes lead second place Real Salt Lake by nine points in the Western Conference Table.

Tickets to their second home playoff game will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. PT.

The Earthquakes play their last home game of the season on Oct. 21 against the Los Angeles Galaxy. They close the season on the road to the Portland Timbers.
