Giants Injury Update: Hector Sanchez, Shane Loux Reinstated, Eli Whiteside, Justin Christian Back To Fresno

According to a report from CSN Bay Area's Andrew Baggarly, the San Francisco Giants made a pair of roster moves after their Wednesday night loss to the New York Mets as catcher Hector Sanchez and relief pitcher Shane Loux have been reinstated with the Black and Orange, while Eli Whiteside and Justin Christian have been optioned back to Triple-A Fresno.

Sanchez had been rehabbing a left knee sprain down on the farm, and is finally ready to get back in the squat with Barry Zito on Thursday. As for Loux, he has been on the DL since the end of June with a strained neck, though has been pain-free for a few weeks now.

Both will be a welcome sight as the Giants bullpen has been getting worked hard as of late, and could use another righty in their stash, while Zito has seemed more comfortable with Sanchez behind the plate than anyone else the Giants have.
