2012 Home Run Derby: Prince Fielder Wins Derby

Stay connected for news and updates

After struggling a bit in the first round, Prince Fielder decided he hates drama and competition as he clubbed 12 home runs in the final round to surpass Jose Bautista in the Home Run Derby. Fielder hit a home run 476 feet long, the longest of the derby.

It was pretty much over for Bautista before it even started, as Fielder tied the record for the most home runs hit in the final round. For Bautista to advance, he had to hit 13 home runs. But after Fielder made a mockery of long distances, it was pretty apparent that it was an uphill climb for Bautista.

This is Fielder's second Home Run Derby title. He also won in 2009 as a Milwaukee Brewer.
