With the San Francisco Giants fresh off a very successful road trip against the NL East, they now return home to the comfy confines of AT&T Park with the NL West back on their mind.

The San Diego Padres are in town for a three-game set, looking to spoil the Giants first place party. With just a 1.5 game lead over the rival Dodgers, the 41-52 Padres have been red hot since the All-Star break, losing just three of their 10 contests so far this second half. San Francisco has been just as good, losing just two of their contests since the break, setting up a showdown of streaking clubs at McCovey Cove.

Clayton Richard (7-10, 3.86) squares off with Ryan Vogelsong (7-4, 2.31). Richard was solid in his last start after 8.1 innings of four run ball against the Astros for his seventh win of the year, while Vogelsong took a no decision after six innings of one run ball against the Braves. First pitch is at 7:15 p.m. with coverage on NBC Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.

Edinson Volquez (6-7, 3.34) and Madison Bumgarner (11-6, 3.12) lock horns on Tuesday. Volquez was lights out in his last start after a complete game shutout, while Bumgarner took the loss in his last outing after seven innings of three run ball. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. PT CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.

Jason Marquis (3-5, 3.79) faces Tim Lincecum (4-10, 5.72) in the series finale. Marquis has gotten the win his last two starts, while Lincecum has one of his best outings of the year after seven innings of two run ball. First pitch is at 12:45 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
